Raid times for Wolfie this week

As per discussion with Dae, my raiding will be hectic for this week though will resume to a normal schedule HOPEFULLY by the end of the weekend. I am currently in the midst of moving in my brother as well as remodeling my new room. Currently, we are almost finished with my room however, we still need to move everything from my old room into my new room and set everything up. And then after that, I have to help my bro move in... he can do the set up on his own though :P

So all this said, raid attendance will be a lil shakey for me starting off though Daestrom was aware of this at the time of my application

I wanted to see if I could put togethor a much nicer looking explanation of the DKP system so that people could read and understand it better.

DKP and You

Forsaken runs a closed bidding DKP system in order to mantain a fair environment for the guild when it comes to loot. SInce not everyone understands this type of system and there are questions such as how much DKP certain things award, I will explain all of that here.

What is closed bidding?

Closed bidding is a DKP system whereby members are able to accumulate points for boss kills and other events. Then, when an item drops that people want, they whisper the person in charge of distributing that item(this will almost always be Daestrom, Calick, or Fumiko) with how much DKP they want to spend on the item. The amount you whisper can be no less than the item's minimum bid value and no greater than your total DKP. Then, the whispered person looks who bid the most and awards the item to that person for the amount they bid. If only one person bids, that person gets the item at the minimum bid value, regardless of what they bid. Seems simple enough, right?

Well if I'm bidding this DKP, how am I earning it?

There are a few ways to earn DKP in Forsaken:

-Showing up on-time and ready for Karazhan or 25 man raids will earn you 1 bonus point of DKP.
-Participating in Karazhan awards 11 points, less 1 for each boss or event the group does that you miss.
-25 man boss kills award 4 points, however guild first kills award double value.
-Each hour spent raiding in 25 mans will also award 1 extra DKP.
-Killing eagle/bear in ZA will award 1 DKP and Lynx/Hawk/Hex/ZJ will award 1.5 DKP.
-Finishing a timed event in Zul'Aman awards 1 more point.

Though there are tons of ways to gain, there are also 2 big ways to lose. If you do not show up for a raid and you don't let an officer know ahead of time, you will be docked DKP. Also, if your raid attendance falls below 66.66%, you will earn half DKP until you bring up your attendance.

Well, now that I have DKP, what are the item minimums?

Well, there are 2 different classifications of items used to determine the minimum.

--Karazhan items will be given a minimum of 1 DKP bid.
--25 Man items/ZA items will be given a minimum of 4 DKP bid.

Nice and simple!

Well after doing stupid stuff on Doomwalker and finally downing he we decided to give Kazzak a shot and downed him on the first attempt. Fumiko didn't get the phatty cape but it's ok.

**ZA raids are guild pugs for those interested in raiding more days of the week. The ZA schedule is rough, and we may go in anytime or anyday before or after scheduled raiding. No bonus dkp will be awarded for early attendance or not showing up. ZA space is reserved for those that have taken the time to gear themselves properly.

REGARDING DKP

On April 15th we will be moving to a full DKP system. Starting April 6th people will begin to accumulate points based on factors listed below. These points may not be spent until the 15th. We will still be using officer loot council until that date. All items awarded from the 6th to 14th will be at double the listed mins and will effect your DKP for the 15th.

You may bid between the min value of the item and your maximum accumulated dkp. All bids are done via tells to loot officer. The highest bid will be awarded the item and his or her dkp deducted accordingly. If you are the only interest it will be auto-awarded at item min regardless of your bid.

POINTS
-KZ is a flat 11dkp with 1 bonus point for showing up on time to raid. Your KZ team will make 11 pts regardless of the amount of KZ bosses you actually down. You will lose one dkp point for every boss your group downs that you arn't there for, including chess. Example: Bob comes for first 5 bosses and misses 4. He'll receive 7dkp +1 if he showed up on time and ready.

-2dkp per ZA boss kill. 1dkp per timed loot aquired.

-25M 4dkp per boss kill. 1dkp per hour raiding.

-Guild first boss kills are double DKP!

*-5DKP Missing a scheduled raid w/out notice (ZA EXCEPTION)
**Half DKP earned if raid attendance falls below 66.66%
***ZA does not count for or against raid attendance. No early attendance bonus for ZA.

<Forsaken> is not for the casual WoW player. We deeply enjoy PvE progression and accomplishment. If you bitch about large repair bills, do no apply. If you don't enjoy long raids, spending hours tweaking strategies, pushing content, do not apply. If you can only play a couple days a week, this is not a guild for you. If you cannot carry your weight on raids, you will be kindly asked to seek guildship elsewhere.

We have zero tolerance for drama, do not cause or seek it. Get your fill at the movies! We are a friendly and relaxed guild outside of raiding. When we raid, however, be prepared! We expect and demand the best.

REQUIREMENTS
-You must be of level 70 on the Cairne server
-You must be a class of which space is available
-You must enjoy PvE progression, we will be raiding atleast five days a week
-You must have a stable internet connection
-You may be expected to spec a certain way for raids, this must not be a problem
-You must be able to handle criticism and conduct yourself with maturatiy in and out of guild functions
-Listen and follow directions

APPLICANT PROCESS

-After your application has been reviewed and accepted you will be invited to raids and group events. You will need to do as much grouping and raiding possible as to accurately judge your app. Once you have received enough yes votes you will be welcomed into the guild as a probationary initiate. If you receive two no votes your app will be immediately declined. This process may take only a few raids and groups or it may take a week or two. If you have any questions on your status you can contact Daestrom or Calick.

i dunno :[ i messed up my hotkeys playing a druid once. these work anyway, when i stealth E becomes Garrote, C becomes sap etcetera...saves me getting one of those bar mods

edit : oh yeah, the reason bandages is f2 is before the self targeting thing, im just so used to hitting f1 and f2 real quick to bandage :x

I don't have the screen shots right now but we did clear Karazhan on Wednesday March 26th, getting Horde first Terestian Illhoof and Nightbane. Congrats to those that got loot!

Onward to ZA and 25 man raids!
